Friday, Sept 20 & Saturday, Sept 21...Two Nights. Three seatings. Ten Guests each seating. 

Guests will join Seance Master SMITH of the Society Of The Seance for an intimate, immersive séance experience; A soirée of the most unique and phasmagorical variety...at Gold Bug.

The Society of the Seance invites guests to embark upon a journey of clairvoyance, spirit communication and an exhilarating, contemporary return to a time where people were curious and what lay beyond the veil was provocative and perhaps a little dangerous. For the first time ever in the Salon at Gold Bug, after the sun has set, delight in a truly unique combination of fear, wonder and enjoyment. But don't be scared...a fabulous time is had by all!
Spirits! Ghosts! A keepsake pendulum and society pin. Complementary beverage of courage. Two of the three seatings offer post Séance Tarot readings for each guest, along with a special performance of murder ballads & musical saw by our own Ms. Becky. All guests will enjoy exclusive access to the marvels of Gold Bug after official shop hours with host Theodora.

SMITH is an enigmatic magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the Magic Castle. He provides exclusive and discreet in-home Séance experiences for an A-list clientele. Society Of The Seance is his immersive evening of séance and paranormal entertainment for the adventurous; A truly unique combination of fear, wonder and enjoyment.

The Back Salon is the newly inaugurated "secret" social parlor located within Pasadena's beloved Gold Bug. Namesake of the famous Edgar Allen Poe story; their gallery / museum like retail shop offers its visitors a visual and sensual experience of rare and unusual wonder. Created by proprietor and curator extraordinaire Theodora; The Back Salon presents a rotating calendar of eclectic events and surprises.

Join us for SMITH'S first visitation to Gold Bug! On this evening, the doors will open at 7:30 for guests to imbibe Libations Of Courage and explore the shop after hours with personalized assitance. After the Séance, enjoy more mingling and murder ballads played on the saw by Ms. Becky in the front of the shop while SMITH reads each persons Tarot privately in the Salon.

Join us for SMITH'S second visitation to Gold Bug! The doors will open at 6:30 this evening for guests to imbibe Libations Of Courage and explore the shop after hours, before the show begins.

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime LATE NIGHT gathering at the Gold Bug, welcoming the Society Of The Seance and Séance Master SMITH. On this evening, the doors will open at 9:00 for guests to imbibe Libations Of Courage and explore the shop while the doors are locked to the public. After the Séance, enjoy more mingling and murder ballads played on the saw by Ms. Becky in the front of the shop while SMITH reads each persons Tarot privately in the Salon. Experience the old streets of Old Town as they grow quiet and the night grows long.
