AUTHENTIC AMMONITE SPECIMEN | MUSEUM QUALITY PREPARATION
Fossils measuring roughly 2.5”. The specimen photographed may vary slightly from the exact piece/s ordered. The fine agatization seen in these specimens allows for an unmatched natural view of the intricate “sutures” of the septa separating the chambers is the shell.
This Cleoniceras Ammonite specimen was found in the soil deposites of the Cretaceous in Madagascar, dating to roughly 90 million years old.
The ammonites became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous Period about 66 million years ago at roughly the same time that the dinosaurs disappeared.
