Solid gold solidus coin issued circa 430-440 AD in Constantinople (4th officina) weighing 4.46 grams measuring 21.78mm.
Depicting Theodosius II helmeted, diademed and cuirassed and holding a spear diagonally over the right shoulder and a shield with horseman on the left. On the obverse, Constantinopolis enthroned with left foot on prow and holding globus crucifer in an extended right hand and spear in the left with a large shield in the foreground.
Coin set in a solid 22k gold pendant measuring 1” wide and hanging 1.5” long.
