Birds and Folk Art have always been this Pacific Northwest artist's greatest loves. Evan as a child, Mike experimented with making his own bird decoys and sand pipers out of whatever materials were readily available to him. Over the years, he has evolved his craft to include a collection of bird decoys that include the Blue Jays, Woodpeckers, Robins, Doves, Black Birds and Crows you see today. Each bird decoy is hand cut, laminated with weatherproof glue, primed with oil based paint, and finished with exterior latex house paint, making each piece of weatherproof bird art a fine addition to any indoor or outdoor arrangement. Considering himself a self taught, modern day folk artist, Mike's favorite aspect of his work with antiques or modern contemporary settings alike.
